or how I learned to stop worrying and love tests
with Andy Robinson

Do you develop software in a test driven way? Do you find dealing with other people's tests can sometimes be frustrating?
Have you ever thought that there may be a better way of writing tests? This session is for you.

This is a practically focussed presentation and discussion designed to help developers reflect on their testing practice and how they can write better tests, and therefore better software. The session will focus primarily on unit tests, collaboration and mocking, but there will be some discussion of larger integration and acceptance tests. There will be code examples (not all bad), mainly in Java, but anyone familiar with a C-like syntax (like C#) should be able follow. There will be multiple opportunities to suck your teeth and nod sagely.

Andy Robinson has worked in the IT industry in various guises for all of his working life, in research, volunteering, adult education, and for the last ten years as a developer. Andy is currently working as a consultant for Thoughtworks, primarily developing .net and Java web applications.
